There are a lot of people who do not agree with television shows such as The X Factor, The Voice, and American Idol, as they feel it is not fair on those people who are working hard in the music industry. However, you cannot argue that we have been given some very talented stars from all over these shows over the years and no doubt we will continue to get plenty more in the future.
Singer Adam Lambert rose to stardom on American Idol and, while he did not win the show, he has since gone on to enjoy a long and successful career in the music industry. Adam has been talking about his music career and he has admitted that he had to take some time to re-evaluate what he wanted from it all, following the release of his album Trespassing.
Lambert explained to Norton magazine, "The music industry is so crazy, competitive and focused, and after the 'Trespassing' album I kind of had to stop and ask myself, 'Why am I doing this? What do I want? Who am I? What am I about?' And just re-examine at everything."
He added, "I finally became more grounded about all of the fame stuff; it's not freaking me out any more. 'There were certain ways in which I triumphed and certain ways in which I stumbled a little bit. Unfortunately, people were watching while I was learning."
There is no denying that Adam Lambert is a very talented star and he has earned critical acclaim for his performances with Queen over the past few years. Adam is set to premiere his new single Ghost Town on April 21, while his new album The Original High will drop this Spring.
