Hollywood beauty Amy Adams is one of those very unlucky stars who has been nominated for an Academy Award on a number of different occasions, but has failed to yet get her hands on an Oscar. However, she is still relatively young and is one of the most talented stars in the acting industry, so we would expect that we will see Amy landing more nominations in the future.
Next up for Amy Adams is the new movie Arrival, which sounds like it could well be an interesting movie but will it be the film to get Amy another Oscar nomination and possibly even her first win? Well, while we have yet to see the movie, we do not expect that Arrival will get many Academy Award nods, so we think it will be unlikely but we are still looking forward to seeing it.
Arrival is officially described as, "When mysterious spacecrafts touch down across the globe, an elite team – lead by expert linguist Louise Banks (Amy Adams) – is brought together to investigate. As mankind teeters on the verge of global war, Banks and the team race against time for answers – and to find them, she will take a chance that could threaten her life, and quite possibly humanity"
As well as starring Amy Adams, Arrival also boasts a couple of other big name Hollywood stars, including the very talented Jeremy Renner, and the hugely impressive Forest Whitaker, along with an exciting supporting cast. Arrival has been directed by Denis Villeneuve, based on the screenplay that Eric Heisserer adapted from the Ted Chiang short story Story Of Your Life, with the movie set to hit the big screen on November 10 in the UK and November 11 in the US.
