The 2015 Cannes Film Festival has already seen some fantastic movies, while also seeing a number of up and coming projects looking to get some backing as they prepare to go into production. The new movie Monumental is scheduled to begin shooting in July this year and has been represented at Cannes, with KMI handling the foreign pre-sales at the Cannes Film Market.

AnnaSophia Robb stars in Monumental
Monumental has been official described as a high-octane romance of the ages, which centres on two friends who have accidentally killed their boss and kidnapped one of their relatives. The FBI are soon on the hunt, chasing the two across the country as they attempt to gain their freedom, while also finding love and being a part of their very own happy ever after.
Monumental sees AnnaSophia Robb and Rory Culkin playing the roles of the two friends, while Jeremy Irons plays the role of the kidnapped relative, with Virginia Madsen as the FBI agent giving chase. We look forward to seeing what the supporting cast for the movie will look like but, with such a strong leading cast, we are sure this film will be a success.

Rory Culkin is also in the film
Monumental is scheduled to begin shooting on July 6, with Brett Simon taking on the directing duties for the film, from a script that has been developed by Chad Faust and Annie Burgstede. There is no word yet of when we can expect to see this action comedy movie hitting the big screen but we would expect that it will be some time in 2016. We will keep you posted though.
