Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie has been making a name for herself behind the camera recently, following on from her movie In the Land of Blood and Honey, with her new film Unbroken, which has been doing its premiere rounds. Unfortunately though, Angelina Jolie has not been able to attend the Hollywood premiere of Unbroken, as she has developed a case of the chickenpox.
Jolie recently explained, "I just wanted to be clear and honest about why I will be missing the Unbroken events in the next few days, which is that I found out last night that I have chickenpox. So, I will be home itching and missing everyone, and I can't believe it, because this film means so much to me. I just can't believe it. But such is life, there it is. And send everyone my love, and hope everything goes well."
While Angelina Jolie was missing from the Hollywood premiere of Unbroken, Brad Pitt was on hand to fill in for her, along with three of their children, sons Maddox and Pax, and daughter Shiloh. While walking the red carpet, Brad was kind enough to give an update on how Angelina is doing and how she feels about her new movie Unbroken.
Pitt said to Access Hollywood, "She's a bit peppered, a bit spotted. She's doing great, she's so proud of this film...and grateful for everyone who came out [to the premiere] and her spirits are high."
As for the movie itself, while Unbroken is directed by Angelina Jolie, the film has a strong cast including Jack O'Connell, Jai Courtney, Garrett Hedlund, Finn Wittrock and Domhnall Gleeson. Unbroken will hit the big screen on December 25 in the US and on December 26 in the UK. Check out the Unbroken trailer, below.
