Thor: Ragnarok is still a few weeks away from finally hitting the big screen but we are already expecting actress Cate Blanchett to impress us in her role as Hela in the movie, as it seems like she could have a long future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It has now been claimed that we could well see Cate Blanchett reprising her role as Hela in Avengers: Infinity War and beyond.
Thor: Ragnarok producer Brad Winderbaum shared, "Obviously we always think about the movies as standalones, even if they do set up a movie down the road or pay off something from a previous film. What we hope, if we do our jobs right, is that Hela is one of the best villains we’ve had – maybe the best, hopefully."
He added, "Cate has been delivering an incredible performance. She’s really scary and really charming. She’s very easy to watch, very fun to be around. But very murderous and horrible at the same time. You’re right that those are things that Thanos values. But when and how she plays into the future of the universe is uncertain now."
From the sounds of it, there are already going to be a ridiculous amount of Marvel characters appearing in Avengers: Infinity War, so much so that we are concerned about the running time of the movie and how they are going to do all of the characters justice. While we cannot wait to see Cate Blanchett as Hela in Thor: Ragnarok, we think adding her to Avengers: Infinity War might just be a character too far.
