Hollywood has given us a huge amount of sex scenes over the years, some which have definitely been needed in order to help a character grow or a story develop, while there are others which seem absolutely pointless and unnecessary. Anyway, we have heard from plenty of Hollywood stars along the way, who have been more than happy to open up about shooting their sex scenes, with some feeling uncomfortable, while others do not have an issue with them.

Irish actor Colin Farrell stars in the new movie The Killing of a Sacred Deer, which sees his character in a marriage with Nicole Kidman, with the two stars having to share sex scenes in the new film. Colin has now been talking about shooting the sex scenes, insisting that it is never exactly completely comfortable but it is all just part of the business.
Talking about those intimate scenes, Farrell explained, "You get through [those scenes] as quickly as you can, while not rushing it at the same time. It's very much business. You're there to tell a story. You're there to honour the characters that have been written by somebody else and whose voice you are now beginning to adapt to yourself. You hear, 'Cut,' and everyone looks away, and you make sure that the person you're working with has cover."

While Colin Farrell and Nicole Kidman play the leading roles in the new movie, the rest of the cast of The Killing of a Sacred Deer also features such stars as Barry Keoghan, Raffey Cassidy, and Alicia Silverstone, to name just a few. The Killing of a Sacred Deer has been directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, who also helped to pen the screenplay for the movie with Efthymis Filippou, with the film out on limited release in the US and due to open in the UK on November 3.
