British actress Daisy Ridley went from being a relatively unknown star, into becoming one of the biggest names on the face of the Earth, with a huge global fanbase all over the world, all thanks to being cast in the role of Rey for the movie Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens. This catapulted Daisy into global superstardom and she has not looked back since.
While Daisy Ridley will now have a huge amount of movie offers, we are all most interested about her reprising her role as Rey for Star Wars: Episode VIII, and it sounds like she feels the same. Daisy has been preparing for the new movie with Star Wars legend Mark Hamill, with the actress very excited to return for the new movie.
Ridley explained, "Me and Mark have been rehearsing a lot, and it’s really amazing. When we went back to Skellig to do the opening of [Episode] VIII, it was so crazy doing the same scene with a different crew of people. He’s amazing to rehearse with, and I’m very excited to be doing the rest of the stuff. It’s such a good story. Seriously. Luke is so cool in this one. Really."
There have been a number of rumours about what we can expect to see from Star Wars: Episode VIII, including what characters we can expect to see appearing in the movie. There are going to be plenty more rumours to come and we are looking forward to finding out which ones are true and which ones are way off the mark.
Star Wars: Episode VIII is set to hit the big screen on December 15, 2017 in both the US and the UK.
