Since it was confirmed that Sony have allowed Spider-Man to be used in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there have been many rumours as to which actor will be cast in the role. One actor whose name keeps popping up, is that of The Maze Runner star Dylan O'Brien but Dylan has revealed that he has not yet been contacted about playing Spider-Man.

O'Brien explained, "Professionally, I haven't heard anything about it. I've only heard from, like, [rumours] online. It feels so weird to say. It's so funny. My friends from New Jersey are calling me. They're like, 'What are you not telling me, dude?! Spider-Man?!' It makes me feel bad because I'm, like, disappointing a big chunk of fans across the nation. You can tell them that it's not true."
Wile Dylan O'Brien has admitted that he has not yet heard anything about playing the role of Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it does not mean that he would not be interested should the opportunity arise. Dylan says that every actor his age would love to play Spider-Man and he would love to land the role in the future,

O'Brien added, "It's never something I would want to get myself excited about, since I know I haven't heard about it from a professional standpoint. I've always wanted to play Peter Parker, obviously. I feel like any actor my age, that's, like, a big thing. And my name being tossed with Logan Lerman's is the coolest thing ever, too. I just think that kid is f**king fantastic."
We are sure that we will not have to wait too much longer to discover which actor lands the role and we would have no problem with Dylan O'Brien playing Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Which actor would you like to see in the role?
