Some sources who have spoken to the Latin Post about the relationship of the couple have stated that there was no infidelity that led to the official announcement from William Levy who in talking to 'People En Espanol' noted that "Any decision we make as a couple is between us. I only ask for respect for her and for my children."
However, there are some sources that suggest that the last straw was his 'alleged' involvement with star musical entertainer Jennifer Lopez which developed when he shot the music video for "I'm Into You". There has been no 'proof' of him having a relationship with Jennifer Lopez but sometimes 'where there is smoke there is fire' and the rumours that have follower her ex-partner and his tendency to become romantically involved with his co-stars have become the norm rather than the exception.

For a star of Elizabeth Gutierrez's stature it is possible that after having to deal with the rumours of him having relationships with Maite Perroni and Ximena Navarette, the latter of which pushed her into the media spotlight for several months in 2014, this most recent rumour of him having a relationship with someone he worked with, this time Jennifer Lopez, could have been the final straw.
