Hollywood actress Eva Mendes recently appeared on Ellen, just 11 weeks after giving birth to her beautiful baby daughter, Esmerelda, who she had with her partner Ryan Gosling and talk soon turned to her new little bundle of joy. Last time Eva was on the show, she told host Ellen DeGeneres that she was not pregnant and that the rumours were untrue, which Ellen wasted no time in bringing up.
Mendes responded by saying, "I was so early on. All mum's will understand, you're not supposed to tell anybody during your first- well, certainly not the world - in your first trimester. And my mother didn't even know yet. So that would have been an awkward phone call. 'Hey, mum, did you catch Ellen today?' Um, oops!'"
As well as talking about her previous appearance on the show, Eva Mendes also went on to talk about what the past few weeks have been like for her and Ryan, after becoming parents for the first time. Ellen asked Eva if baby Esmerelda was sleeping through the night but it seems that the answer is a definite no no.
Mendes added, "No! No! God no! She's two months! You know we're getting the hang of it, the sleeping thing, but yeah, I'm exhausted and it's the best. Really, I'm so incredibly tired. I thought I was tired before at times, but no. Nothing like this! But I wouldn't have it any other way."
Now that Eva Mendes has given birth to baby Esmerelda, it will surely only be a matter of time before she gets back to acting. Eva can next be seen on the big screen in the movie Lost River, which is written and directed by Ryan Gosling and will open on April 24, 2015 in the UK, with a US release date to be determined.
