When it comes to video games being adapted for the big screen, it is fair to say that there have not exactly been many which have proved much of a success and, more often than not, they have actually been considered big flops. However, there is one movie franchise in particular which has been a huge financial success, while also pleasing plenty of the fans along the way.
That is right, the Resident Evil movie franchise has enjoyed a long and successful run but now, 14 years after the first Resident Evil movie was released, we are now preparing to say farewell to Milla Jovovich as the star of the movies. Milla will bring her final performance as Alice to the big screen in the upcoming movie Resident Evil: The Final Chapter and the fans cannot wait for the release of the film.
Resident Evil: The Final Chapter has been described as, "As the only survivor of humanity's final stand against the undead, Alice returns to Raccoon City, where the Umbrella Corporation is gathering its forces for a final strike. In a race against time Alice will join forces with old friends, and an unlikely ally, in a battle with undead hordes and new mutant monsters. Between regaining her superhuman abilities at Wesker's hand and Umbrella's impending attack, this will be Alice's most difficult adventure as she fights to save humanity."
As well as starring Milla Jovovich, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter also stars Ruby Rose, William Levy, Ali Larter, Rola, Shawn Roberts, and Iain Glen, among others. Paul W.S. Anderson is again the man responsible for penning the screenplay and directing the movie, with Resident Evil: The Final Chapter hitting the big screen on January 27, 2017 in the US and February 24, 2017 in the UK.
