The music industry really is a very interesting thing, with some people writing songs with no real meaning to them, just making sure the lyrics rhyme, while others tend to focus on the heartfelt meaning of their lyrics, writing songs from the heart and drawing on their own personal experiences over the years. Then there is the beautiful music star Fergie, who has come up with a rather unique way of finding inspiration for her new song M.I.L.F.$.
Fergie has been talking about her new song M.I.L.F.$, when she revealed just what it was that inspired some of the lyrics for the track. According to the singer herself, it was some of the jokey comments that her husband Josh Duhamel would make about breastfeeding, which was a big inspiration for the new song.
Fergie was chatting to NME magazine, when she explained, "When I was breastfeeding, my husband would come in and say, 'The milkman is here!' That helped with the lyrics because all these different milk puns would come into my head. Like the club in the video is called 'M.I.L.F. Shakes'."
She added, "When I was first pregnant I was working with the producer Polow Da Don on a 2 Chainz track called 'Netflix' and Polow crawled in my head and said, 'Fergie, you're gonna change people's views of artists who have babies.' I'd never thought of that before, so 'M.I.L.F. $' is my way of doing that with a quirky sense of humour."
Well that is certainly one way of coming up with the lyrics for your song. We wonder what else Fergie will use in the future.
