Gabrielle Aplin has one of those voices where, no matter what she is singing, you could just listen to her all day long. So, it is no surprise that Gabrielle's debut album English Rain has come in at number two on the UK album chart. Gabrielle has spoken about the success, admitting that she is loving every minute of it.
Talking to BBC Newsbeat about album's success, Aplin said, "It's really weird, it's been overwhelming. This [last] week has just been mental. I don't really know how to handle the attention, but I don't feel like I'm getting any attention [either] because you just bypass it."
Gabrielle then went on to reveal what she found the weirdest part of the whole experience, adding, "The weirdest thing for me was going into HMV and buying my album. That was strange. But in terms of how I live my life and what I do nothing has changed."
Unfortunately for Gabrielle Aplin, English Rain just missed out on the top spot, which went to veteran rocker Rod Stewart. Meanwhile, Gabrielle Aplin has confirmed that the next track to come from her album will be Home, which she will release this summer.
