While it is still clear to see that Marvel are leading the way with their comic book movies, DC are working hard to get up to that level and it looks like they have been doing a good job with their upcoming movie projects. We will get to see the movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice next year, which will introduce us to a number of characters set for solo movies in the future.
Actress Gal Gadot will play the role of Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, before then moving on to the Wonder Woman standalone movie after that. Despite the fact that there have been a lot of critics about the casting of Gal as Wonder Woman, she has insisted that she is still very excited about playing the character and hopes to inspire people all over the world.
Gadot was chatting to Interview magazine, when she said, "I’m so excited about this role. I feel like I’ve been given a huge opportunity to inspire people, not only women. And not because of me but because of who Wonder Woman is and what she stands for. There’s a lot of responsibility. But I have the best team and the best people to work with. It’s going to be an amazing ride, knock on wood."
We have already seen pictures of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, as well as getting a brief glimpse of her in the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer, and we cannot wait to see what she really brings to the character, when the movie hits the big screen on March 25, 2016 in both the US and the UK. We cannot wait!
