Imogen Poots has been announced as one of the stars of Cameron Crowe's Showtime pilot show, 'Roadies'. This is just another feather in the cap of the attractive and extremely talented English actress and I have a feeling that the sight of her as a 'roadie', one of the numerous hard-working individuals who help make "rock and roll tours happen with their loading of instruments into cases, wrapping up of cables, and wearing of bandanas" will have men of all ages considering taking up such a job if beautiful women such as her can be found at the job. (A.V. Club - December 5).
Her being chosen for this role is interesting as she has recently been focused on movies having already filmed two for 2015 that are in post-production phase, "A Country Called Home" and "Knight of Cups" and is in the process of filming two others, "Frank & Lola" and "Green Room" that are also scheduled for release in 2015.
She is obviously an actress who prefers to stay busy and with her current schedule of movies and now the upcoming 'Roadies' television show it means that she will be very busy in 2015 but also might be taking a break from movies.
There are pros and cons to filming television shows and one of the 'pros' is that with the long hours required on set the majority of actors must wait until the end of their television season before they can film a movie and by the summer of 2015 she will probably need the entire summer time to 'recharge' the batteries and thus will basically be 'forced' to take a break from acting which will likely prevent her from becoming burnout.
This English beauty has become an in-demand commodity as an actress as illustrated by her busy filming schedule and she is making sure that both television and movie fans are aware of her ability with her decision to take on the 'Roadies' role.
Get ready for Imogen Poots, a talented actress who might be on the verge of becoming a 'household' name both on the big and small screens.
