Jaden Smith and Willow Smith are children of Will Smith and Jada Smith, and as such, they are often targeted by the media through inane and ridiculous media stories. However, this comes from the usually reputable US Weekly, so we're actually supposed to believe that Jaden Smith and Willow Smith sleep with pet snakes.
A source recently told US Weekly that Willow and Jaden are actually obsessed with snakes, and they 'cuddle' with the snakes in bed. Apparently, Willow has close to ten snaked sleeping in her room, and some aren't even holed up inside their cages. I'm sure they don't have any poison in them, but it's still frightening to assume that two young kids have snakes sleeping in their rooms as pets. Cars? Sure. Dogs? Completely normal. Snakes? Somewhat outside of the norm.
Apparently, Jaden refers to these snakes as his 'girlfriends', although it's obvious that he's just being facetious. As the source explains, "They slither into his bed and curl up with him!"
Willow reportedly bought her first boa constrictor [named Beauty] when she was just seven years old, but neither her mother nor her family seem all that scared of it. Apparently, 'Beauty' helped Jada Pinkett Smith overcome her fear of snakes, whereas Will Smith is just happy that the snakes will prevent any mice from proliferating.
Clearly, Jada and Will are open to allowing their children a modicum of freedom and creativity regarding their living arrangements, which is more than you can say for most Hollywood parents. However, Willow and Jaden have both proved their worth in music and films, and buying them snakes is probably the least their parents can do.
