Hollywood beauty Jennifer Lawrence has been the golden girl for the past few years now, landing a string of Oscar nominations and becoming arguably the most sought after actress in the business. However, following the release of her new movie mother!, it seems that a lot of people who have been slating the movie have also been having a bit of a dig at the actress, something which she will want to quickly move on from and put behind her.
Well, she will not have to wait too much longer as we are finally going to get to see Jennifer Lawrence appearing in the new movie Red Sparrow, which has been in the works for quite a long time now but is still yet to hit the big screen. Red Sparrow was actually first spoken about way back in 2013, with mother! director Darren Aronofsky on board to direct. However it was not until he left the project and Francis Lawrence took over, that we finally saw Red Sparrow being made.
For those of you who are not familiar with the novel, the Red Sparrow movie has been described as, "Ballerina Dominika Egorova is recruited to 'Sparrow School' a Russian intelligence service where she is forced to use her body as a weapon. But her first mission, targeting a CIA agent, threatens to unravel the security of both nations."
As we mentioned, the Red Sparrow movie is based on the novel by Jason Matthews, with the screenplay for the film being adapted by Justin Haythe, with Francis Lawrence directing the movie. As for the cast of the film, Red Sparrow will see Jennifer Lawrence sharing the big screen with Mary Louise Parker, Joely Richardson, Joel Edgerton, Ciaran Hinds, Jeremy Irons, and Matthias Schoenaerts. Red Sparrow will open on March 2, 2018 in both the US and the UK.
