There are a lot of stars these days, who love to use social media for a number of different reasons and, while some of these stars use it to help promote themselves and let their fans know what is going on in their career, there are others who use it as a way to boost their ego. Singer John Mayer has admitted that he has a very big ego and has decided to change certain things in his life to help bring him back down to Earth.
Mayer explained, "I'm a recovered ego addict. The only way that I can be sure that I don't relapse is to admit that I constantly have this ego addiction -- every day. So, I do the Grammys and I go home cause if I stayed, I'd get high again... You've already looked through Twitter, everybody goes, 'It's great,' and then you're low again because you can't stop looking. So, I'm a recovered ego addict."
It is fair to say that John Mayer has had a few high-profile relationships over the years, while also being romantically rumoured to have dated plenty more, which has led to the singer being labelled a womaniser along the way. However, John has been talking about that side of his life, claiming that he does not feel that he is considered a womaniser any more.
Mayer added, "No, absolutely not. You're crafty and you're clever and you go, 'Well, I'm just going to be as strange as they think I am.' And then you lose, number one you're not playing music anymore. Number two, you're not feeling anything honestly. Number three, you're not saying anything honestly."
While John Mayer has been romantically linked to stars such as Jessica Simpson, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and Jennifer Aniston, it is his on and off relationship with Katy Perry that has made the most headlines, with the couple constantly breaking up and getting back together.
