Former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher, who now fronts his new band Beady Eye, is not one for mincing his words and always tells it as he sees it. Liam has spoken about British boyband One Direction, saying that, while he finds their music rubbish, he does love the fact that Harry Styles is living the rock'n'roll life style.
Gallagher told The Sun, "You want your rock'n'roll stars to have a good time. When I see Harry out and about having it I think, 'Go on, lad'. The music's shit, but at least he's living it. It's equally as important as writing a good song. If you write a good song and you're just a stiff and a square then you can just fuck off in my book. At least Harry is having a good time, right?"
Meanwhile, Liam also spoke to NME about Harry Styles and One Direction, adding, "They're just living their life. Harry Styles? Fucking good on him man. It'll end soon, won't it, and he can look back and go, yeah, I had a fucking good time. He's riding the wave, man."
Liam Gallagher's new band Beady Eye released their latest album BE on this week and are preparing to play live at the Manchester Ritz on June 19. Beady Eye will then head to London where they will play the Camden Centre on June 20. They will then play in Glasgow at the ABC on June 22. Meanwhile, Beady Eye are lined up to play at Benicassim, V Festival and T In The Park this summer.
