German actress Maria Furtwangler has developed quite the loyal following of fans over the years, thanks mostly to her impressive performances in the role of the Hanover based police detective Charlotte Lindholm, in the hit television series Tatort, which she starred in from 2002 until 2012. Fans have been calling for the actress to return to the series and that wait ha finally ended.

Maria Furtwangler agreed to return to the hit series Tatort, reprising her role as Charlotte Lindholm, making her first appearance in two years earlier this month. Maria has now opened up about her Tatort comeback, claiming that she does not actually see it as a comeback, as she has never actually ruled out returning to the series.
Furtwangler explained, "I do not see it as a comeback, because I had not even said goodbye to the "crime scene", but just waiting for the right script.And the wait was worth it." As well as talking about her Tatort comeback, Maria also went on to discuss her character in the series and what she likes most about playing her.

Furtwangler added, "Charlotte Lindholm has almost no private life, their son David has always let alone in the care of her mother.If it came into question for you to defer your privacy massively for the job? I like very much that she goes her way consistently.It is not a team player, but incredibly persistent and justice obsessed."
Meanwhile, Maria Furtwangler is returning to the big screen, with a role in the movie Cooking Cats, which is expected to be released some time in 2015.
