Tristan Loraine has written the screenplay for the movie A Dark Reflection, which is based on the former pilots own experiences. The British indie movie will star Marina Sirtis and Georgina Sutcliffe and centres on the story of an air traffic controller who gets suspended after a serious in-flight issue. When his journalist wife (Sutcliffe) decides to ask a few questions, she ends up discovering a disturbing succession of cover-ups which date back to 1954.
Talking about being a part of the film, Sutcliffe explained, "If this film serves to uncover serious air safety issues, it will have succeeded in its purpose. I am honored to be a part of it!" Meanwhile, Sirtis added, "We all fly, and I want to play my part in making air travel safer by being part of this film."
And it seems that the crew of the movie are happy to have them on board, with co-screenwriter Viv Young saying, "We are delighted and honored that Marina Sirtis will be briefly coming back to the U.K. to be part of the film. Marina has taken a real interest in the issues highlighted within the film for many years."
Shooting for A Dark Reflection is set to begin in June this year, with the movie likely to get released sometime in 2014.
