It seems almost impossible to believe that it has been 20 years since the Spice Girls first broke onto the music scene. With fans around the world celebrating the landmark, there has been a lot of talk about Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, Mel C, Mel B, and Victoria Beckham reuniting for a reunion tour.

However, it now seems that these Spice Girls reunion plans have now been laid to rest, as Mel C has spoken out to confirm that she will not be taking part in it, following the reports that Victoria Beckham is also not interested in doing it. Mel says that she feels that the band peaked and went out on a high and should leave it there.
She explained, "I’d love to play huge arenas across the world, sing our brilliantly bonkers pop songs and relive our former glory," Mel wrote. "It is of course a very lucrative opportunity too. But we were a five-piece band. Didn’t we reach a peak with the Olympics? There’s a lot to be said for bowing out on a high note."

She added, "For me, the absolute pinnacle of my Spice existence was being watched by a billion people around the globe belting out Spice Up Your Life on top of a black cab at the 2012 London Olympics. Anything less than the full line-up just didn’t feel like we’d be doing justice to the band or the fans."
It would definitely have been nice to see the Spice Girls back together for one last reunion gig but we can definitely see where Mel C is coming from.
