Hollywood veteran Michael Douglas has been in the acting industry for many years now, with a successful career that has spanned decades. Michael followed in the footsteps of his father Kirk Douglas and managed to forge a Hollywood career in his own right. Now, Michael has revealed how his 14-year-old son Dylan Douglas wants to continue the family legacy.

Michael Douglas followed in Kirk Douglas footsteps
Douglas was a guest on Ellen, when he told the host, "He wants to be an actor, there's no question about it. He came to me the other day, and said, 'Dad, look, I was president of the class this last year, I made the honour roll, you saw me in (musical) Oliver... so maybe you could throw me a bone?' (get me an acting job)."
He added, "The best part of it is that you learn the (celebrity) lifestyle and the hard part is establishing your own identity. I know when I started with my own father, they (critics) find the similarities and you have to try to find your own identity... but I think he's (Dylan) gonna be in fine shape. He's a really good actor."

Michael Douglas is a family man
While Dylan Douglas wants to follow in the footsteps of his father and his grandfather, as well as his mother Catherine Zeta Jones, 12-year-old Carys is also looking to her future, as she is a very talented dancer. It looks like the Douglas family name is going to continue in Hollywood for many more years to come. Good luck to all of them. We will watch their careers with great interest.
