We have seen so many very talented stars in Hollywood, who have seen their career falling away quite a bit, following the poor decision to star in a movie that is then considered an absolutely flop. While the Star Wars prequel movies, they did manage to make a huge amount of money, so they could be seen as a financial success but, the fact still remains that all Star Wars fans wish they had never been made.
Meanwhile, Hollywood actress Natalie Portman had the displeasure of playing the leading lady in the Star Wars prequels, which could well have damaged her career. Fortunately though, Natalie has since gone on to bag herself an Oscar, but she has admitted that she will not let her son watch the Star Wars films, so is she ashamed of being a part of them?
Portman explained, "He has not, but he knows about it, of course. It’s kind of a shame because you know when I made it, I was like, ‘This is going to be the coolest thing, one day when I have kids, I can show them.’ And boys of course are obsessed with it and know all about it before they’ve seen it. Then I realised: I die in the movies. I feel like it’s kind of a scary thing to show your kid."
Well there you have it, while Natalie Portman might be a bit embarrassed about being involved in those awful Star Wars films, it is clearly not the reason she will not let her son watch them. Although we would probably never let our kids watch them, simply due to the fact that they are terrible.
