There has been a lot of talk about the relationship between the two singers Nicki Minaj and Iggy Azalea, with many people suggesting that the two stars are at one another's throats. It was thought that Nicki was having a dig at Iggy Azalea during her acceptance speech at the BET Awards at the weekend.
During her speech, Nicki Minaj made a big comment about writing all of her songs her, which people thought was aimed at Iggy Azalea, since Iggy had ghost writers for some of her songs. However, Nicki has now denied that the comments were aimed directly Iggy, claiming that Azalea should be proud of what she has been doing in the music industry.
Minaj took to her official Twitter account to say, "The media puts words in my mouth all the time and this is no different. I will always take a stance on women writing b/c I believe in us!" she wrote, before then adding, "I've congratulated Iggy on the success of Fancy, publicly. She should be very proud of that. All the women nominated should b proud."
While it did seem to many people that Nicki Minaj and Iggy Azalea were heading for a big war of words, there are a couple of people who will not be in Nicki's bad books, and that is Ariana Grande and Jessie J. The three stars have worked on the new track Bang Bang together and it sounds like the three women had a great time recording the single.
Do you think Nicki Minaj makes a fair point about people writing their own songs?
