A lot of people were surprised to learn that One Direction had not been nominated for a Grammy, considering how huge they have been on a global scale this year. However, it appears that their Grammy snub is not something to be worried about for anyone involved with One Direction.

One Direction with Simon Cowell
One Direction could have been nominated for a Grammy with their debut album Up All Night, as well as their US singles What Makes You Beautiful and One Thing. Now, Simon Cowell has claimed that the Grammy snub is not important, as they are still selling records and have great fans.
While talking to MTV News, Cowell explained, “You know what's more important? Fans, record sales, I've always said that. Maybe next year they'll get something. Trust me, they're not complaining.”

Meanwhile, other stars who snubbed, including Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj, did not take the news so well, as their representatives slammed the Grammy Awards for the snub. The 55th Grammy Awards is set to take place at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 10, 2013.
