A Thai man has made a plea for help to singer Ricky Martin, after he was attacked by a man with a knife and almost lost his ear. Reno Nunsuwan became friends when Ricky headed to Thailand to help in the aftermath of the devastating Thailand Tsunami back in 2004.
Reno explained, "When Ricky was here after the 2004 tsunami, he got to know my family. Ricky said if we ever needed help, to call him. Ricky, we need your help now. Ricky Martin is our best hope. When Ricky came to help after the 2004 tsunami, we became friends. This is an even tougher time for us now. We hope Ricky can help."
Since making the plea for help, management company GTS Management have stated that they have been in touch with Ricky Martin and that he still remembers Reno Nunsuwan and his family. They claim that Ricky will be in touch with the family by the weekend and will do all that he can to help them.
Thailand has become a popular destination with celebrities over the years, seeing the likes of Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes enjoying a trip there, while Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo has also taken to the beautiful country. However, it is not always without incident, after The Avengers actor Jeremy Renner and his entourage were attacked by a man with an axe in January 2012.
