There has been a fair amount of talk about the upcoming David Fincher movie Gone Girl, mainly because of the fact that he decided to cast model Emily Ratajkowski in the film. However, there are also plenty of other stars in Gone Girl who are worth talking about, including How I Met Your Mother actor Neil Patrick Harris.
In Gone Girl, Neil Patrick Harris plays the role of Desi Collings and he has a sex scene with actress Rosamund Pike, who plays the role of Amy Dunne. Neil has now been talking about Gone Girl and, in particular that Rosamund Pike sex scene, which he has claimed was rehearsed so much that it almost felt robotic.
Harris told Out magazine, "We had to rehearse the sex scene with [director] David [Fincher], like every inch of it – 'Then you put your mouth on his d*** here, and then this number of thrusts, and then you ejaculate.' It was weird because we’re technically breaking down the sex scene. He wanted it to be almost robotic, that we know exactly where we are, position-wise, where everything goes. And yet, through all of that, the whole 'I’m gay' element was never even thought about."
As well as starring Neil Patrick Harris and Rosamund Pike, the Gone Girl cast also includes the likes of Ben Affleck, Emily Ratajkowski, Missi Pyle, Tyler Perry and Boyd Holbrook. Gone Girl is directed by David Fincher, based on the screenplay developed by Gillian Flynn from the novel that she also wrote. Gone Girl will open on October 3 in both the US and the UK.
