Well it seems that one of the new and popular things to do in Hollywood at the moment, is to take a former hit movie and adapt it for the small screen, with a number of recent television shows being based on the movies that came before them. That has certainly been the case for the likes of recent series such as Scream, Minority Report, and Limitless, while there is a new project coming our way.

It was recently announced that NBC has plans to bring us a Cruel Intentions television series, which is based on the hit 1999 movie of the same name. Unfortunately there were two very disappointing movie sequels that followed, so hopes were not exactly high for the Cruel Intentions TV series, that is until it was confirmed that Sarah Michelle Gellar will reprise her role as Kathryn for the show.
Sarah took to her official Instagram account, to post a picture of herself with some crew members from the original Cruel Intentions movie, stating that the rumours were in fact 100% true and that we are going to see her back as Kathryn on the Cruel Intentions television series, at least for the pilot episode and hopefully more.

The caption read, "#throwbackthursday (a bit early in Los Angeles) this picture was taken on the eve of production on the original #cruelintentions. Its me #rogerkumble (director) and #nealmoritz (exec producer) and the other is a picture of us now on the eve of production on the new #cruelintentions. That's right "everybody loves me, and I intend to keep it that way" #kathrynmerteuil is back!!! I am happy to say that I will be joining them (and @nbctv ) on the new #Crueltv."
We cannot wait to see what they come up with for the new Cruel Intentions show and we are praying that it is a success.
