Another trailer for the Hangover Part III has been released, showing us that the gang is back in Las Vegas for their third [and final?] go around.
When the first Hangover film released in 2009, it became a surprise hit and spawned a new era of raunchy adult comedies that did well at the box office as well as earn strong reviews from critics [see: Bridesmaids]. Eventually, a sequel to the Hangover was also released, and while it didn't earn the strong reviews that its predecessor did, it did end up doing strong business at the box office, particularly in overseas locations.
Then, when Warner Brothers announced that they were developing another sequel for the franchise, the reaction was mainly lukewarm, mainly because of how poorly Part II was received. However, everyone involved in Part III have been clear to maintain that Part III will take place back where it all began, and it will have a different feel to the film than the first two. Basically, they're trying to say that it will feel fresh and new, much like the first film felt way back in '09.
Now that this trailer has been released for the film, it's easy to see why they would say that. It certainly does seem to have a different feel, just from the trailers itself, and while the trailer's not giving away too much of the plot, the stakes seem to be upped this time around. 'Hangover Part III' will be released worlwide on March 24th, and stars Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, and Zach Galifianakis.
