James Nesbitt is best known for playing Bofur in The Hobbit: An Unpexpected Journey, but he will next be seen in another role that will gain him worldwide exposure. Nesbitt has just been set to star in Thomas Cook's worldwide campaign, which will see Nesbitt appearing as a dad who keeps getting into interesting situations while on holiday with his family. Of course, in these ads, Thomas Cook will be playing a major role in solving these problems.
The campaign officially launched on June 1st, and will feature three separate ads, called 'Trunks', 'Room', and 'Exchange'. Each of these ads, running about 30 seconds each, started playing on June 1st and will run until September 30th.
A rep for Thomas Cook explained, "The new TV ads are set to bring a new, light-hearted look and feel to the brand and show how our experience and expertise means that we can ensure our customers enjoy the perfect holiday."
Nesbitt, apart from The Hobbit series and now this Thomas Cook campaign, is also known for several TV shows and films, including 'Bloody Sunday', 'Millions', and 'Waking Ned Devine'. In addition to The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, he was most recently seen in the TV show 'Monroe', and will next be seen in 'The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug'.
