Actor Timothy Hutton is known for his role as Jarrod Conrad in the popular film Ordinary People (1980). He hadn't been on the film industry scene long, and this film directed by Robert Redford gave Hutton the break that most young actors hope and pray for. Timothy won an academy award for his performance in the film as best supporting actor, and was bestowed the prestigious honor of being the youngest actor to receive the award.
Hutton also enjoyed great reviews from his role as Cadet Major Brian Moreland in the movie Taps (1981). He also appeared in the psychological thriller The Secret Window (2004) alongside Johnny Depp, where his character meets his demise at the hands of the deranged and estranged husband of his girlfriend. He also played the role of Paul Gebhard in the historical biography Kinsey (2004) with Liam Neeson and Chris O'Donnell. You may also remember his role as Conrad Cain in the television series Kidnapped (2006-7).
Hutton has been busy since his amazing start in the business. He began as a child actor with an uncredited part in Never Too Late (1965), and a few minor roles between then and his breakout in 1980, but once Timothy hit, he hit hard and it has certainly lasted. His acting resume has been full and successful.
Timothy's most recent role has been the part of Nathan Ford in the television series Leverage (2008-12). His most recent film work is the role of Bruce Komiske in the film Louder Than Words (2013). Hutton has given the film industry a tremendous amount of skill and talent and he shines brightly as a star in both starring roles and support.
