One of the most recent rumours is that Selena Gomez was romantically involved with rapper Waka Flocka Flame. However, Waka has now addressed the rumours, claiming that he did not even know who Selena Gomez was.

Flame explained, "That's just fans and I'm a friendly person, fans [felt] like I should mess with Selena. I guess that's what my fans want me to do, but I [tweeted] out that you should respect her, [because] she got a career. That was real random. Honestly, I knew what it was but I never knew her name or nothing, till I put two and two together, then I Googled her and was like damn 'she look good.'"
He then spoke about Justin Bieber, adding, "I ain't know that was Justin Bieber's girl. No disrespect to Justin Bieber — he's like, the next Michael Jackson — but I don't even know a Justin Bieber song 'cause we're both in two different worlds. I don't go into people relations. I don't even know the top blog sites. I don't even practice that. That's a form of snitching to me. Where I'm from, it ain't cool so I try to just walk a straight line."
