Oscar-winning actress Natalie Portman has been working in the acting industry for decades now and, despite the fact that appearing in those dreadful Star Wars prequels could have harmed her career, Natalie is actually still regarded as one of the most talented actresses in the business. Portman has a number of new movies lined up for the coming years but there is one movie missing from her schedule which has had people talking.
Natalie Portman has played the role of Jane Foster in the Marvel Cinematic Universe but her character is not going to appear in the upcoming new Marvel movie Thor: Ragnarok, which had a lot of people questioning the future of the character. Well, Natalie has now opened up about her future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, claiming that she is not set to return to the movies any time soon.
Portman was doing an interview with the Wall Street Journal, when she told them, "As far as I know, I’m done. I don’t know if, maybe, one day they’ll ask for an Avengers 7 or whatever. I have no idea! But as far as I know I’m done, before then going on to admit that she loved playing Jane and that it "was all great."
As far as her own career is concerned, Natalie Portman has been trying her hand at some of the other things in Hollywood, writing her own screenplay and taking to the directors chair for her new movie A Tale of Love and Darkness, which she also stars in. A Tale of Love and Darkness is set to hit the big screen on August 19 in the US.
