These days it seems that everyone in the acting industry is eager to get a role in a superhero movie, since the likes of Marvel and DC films are beginning to take over Hollywood. However, there is one such actor that we have yet to see in a superhero movie, who most people would love to see, and that is the Mad Men actor Jon Hamm. So will we ever see Jon Hamm in a Superhero movie?
Jon Hamm is a very popular character
Jon Hamm has been linked to the role of superman in the past but missed out on the role, which ultimately went to Henry Cavill, but there are plenty more superhero characters he could play in the future. Unfortunately though, it seems that Jon does not really have any interest in playing a superhero due to the multiple movie deals that you have to sign up for.
Hamm explained "The deals that they make you do [for superhero roles] are so draconian. And, of course, you are signed on for not only the movie that you are signed on for… but at least two more that you haven’t read and you have no idea what they are going to be and all the crossover ones you are going to have to do."
Jon Hamm was linked to Superman in the past
He added, "For me to sign on now to do a superhero movie would mean I would be working until I am fifty as that particular superhero. It’s a lot of work at one thing which is not necessarily the reason I got into the business which is to do many things. If you want to spend all day pressing the same key that… seems an odd choice."
