From the moment that it was announced that Heroes creator Tim Kring has agreed to make a new series titled Heroes Reborn, there have been a lot of rumours about which former actors we are going to see reprising their roles in the show. There has been a lot of talk about some of the original characters having cameo appearances in Heroes Reborn and, while there are some that we will see, there is one that we definitely will not.

Zachary Quinto filming with Milo Ventimiglia
Actor Zachary Quinto played the role of Gabriel Gray aka Sylar in Heroes and there has been a lot of talk about him making a return to the role for a cameo in Heroes Reborn. However, Zachary has now opened up about the possibility of returning to play Sylar in Heroes Reborn and, while he did talk to Tim Kring about the new series, he has admitted that a return is not going to happen for him.
Quinto was speaking to Buzzfeed at the Sundance Film Festival, when he said, "No, I'm not going to go back. I talked to them about it, and Tim reached out to me when they decided they were going to do it. We had a great conversation. It was such a meaningful experience for me - I loved that job, I loved those people. I just felt like I didn't want to go back to it."

He added, "Tim was very understanding and supportive. I'm thrilled that they're doing it. I'm thrilled that Jack Coleman is going back to it. And I know that they just cast Zach Levi, which is great. I mean, it's a great thing to be a part of, I just felt like I need to cultivate other outlets for myself."
As well as Zachary Quinto not returning for Heroes Reborn, to reprise his role as Sylar, it has also been confirmed that Milo Ventimiglia will not reprise his role as Peter Petrelli, while Ali Larter has also ruled herself out. Meanwhile, Hayden Panettiere previously admitted that she had not even been asked about making a return for the new series.
