Despite the film's release being a month away, promotion for 'Man of Steel' is well underway. Director Zack Snyder spoke to US Weekly about the film and its leading lady, Amy Adams [who plays Lois Lane].
Snyder discusses Lois Lane's character in Man of Steel, saying, "She's definitely independent and definitely no damsel in distress. And she's never afraid to get her hands dirty."
Snyder goes into details about Lois and her life in the film, revealing a few interesting tidbits about the famous character. He explains, "Lois' apartment is small and kind of a mess. She's an investigative reporter so she dresses practically. In one scene, she has to fly, so she wears a flight suit. Lois is patient, but she argues with her Daily Planet editor [Laurence Fishburne]. It's a constant battle of wits." And finally, she's cell obsessed. "She works for her paper in the present day. There's social media and blogging, and she's always checking her phone."
'Man of Steel' comes out on June 14th, 2013 and in addition to starring Amy Adams, stars Henry Cavill, Laurence Fishburne, Russell Crowe, Michael Shannon, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner, Ayelet Zurer, and Christopher Meloni.
