You can be forgiven for thinking that the majority of the stars in Hollywood get offered movie roles without having to audition but it is more the case that most of these stars do actually have to audition for roles. We tend to hear most about those who actually land their acting roles, while we do not hear too much about those who get rejected in their auditions.
Actress Zoe Kravitz has been in the acting industry for a number of years now and she has had to have more than her fair share of auditions along the way. Zoe has now opened up about the time that she went in for an audition for the movie The Dark Knight Rises, which she missed out on, and the actress has now revealed the reasons why she was overlooked.
Kravitz was doing a photoshoot for Nylon magazine and, in the accompanying interview, she explained, "In the last Batman movie, they told me that I couldn’t get an audition for a small role they were casting because they weren’t ‘going urban.' It was like, ‘What does that have to do with anything?’ I have to play the role like, ‘Yo, what’s up, Batman? What’s going on wit chu?’"
As far as her acting career is concerned, Zoe Kravitz has a number of new movies set to hit the big screen in the coming years but, while they all seem rather interesting, the two that stand out the most would have to be Allegiant Part 1 and Part 2, which will see the actress reprising her role as Christina.
