There was once a time when a top Hollywood star would not be allowed to do their own stunts, with a stunt actor being brought in for those more dangerous scenes, but in recent years we are seeing more and more stars deciding to do more and more dangerous stunts of their own, which has resulted in some of them actually getting themselves hurt.

Take the actor Dylan O'Brien, for example. Dylan decided that he wanted to take on some of his own stunts for the new Maze Runner sequel, which led to the actor being dragged under a vehicle and causing him a pretty bad injury. However, Dylan insisted that he wanted to put it behind him and continue to do his own stunts on his new movie American Assassin, with the actor now opening up about the decision.
O'Brien explained, "The state that you're in after something like that, you just want to run from all that stuff. I didn't really even want to leave my couch necessarily when I was allowed to, so yeah, it was a big step doing this. I ultimately decided that I wanted to try it and I didn't want to let it go. [The movie] ended up being really instrumental in the whole process."

As well as starring Dylan O'Brien, the cast for American Assassin also includes such talented stars as Michael Keaton, Taylor Kitsch, and Scott Adkins, to name just a few. American Assassin has been directed by Michael Cuesta, with the movie set to hit the big screen on September 15 in both the US and the UK.
