Florence Welch, the voice behind the successful artist Florence + the Machine, has revealed how she found performing live on The X Factor one of the most daunting experiences of her life. Matters were not helped by the fact that one of the dancers had a wardrobe malfunction just seconds before they were set to go live.
Welch explained, "Just before it went live one of the dancers' dresses got ripped and the stylist had to run on stage as they were counting down to the start. I had to stay really still and it was one of the most high pressured things I've ever done. I was freaking out inside, it was so frightening. We all talked about how much could go wrong, I'm surprised more doesn't happen with live TV performances."
She also admitted that, out of all of The X Factor judges, she was most looking forward to meeting Tulisa Contostavlos. Florence added, "I was really excited to meet Tulisa Contostavlos - I think she's amazing." Florence + the Machine have released the second single from their album Ceremonials in the form of the track No Light, No Light.
