When singer and songwriter Lana Del Rey first came onto the music scene, there were quite a few people who criticised the star but, fortunately enough there were plenty more who took to her and have stuck by her ever since. This has led to Lana enjoying her fair share of success over the years, with three studio albums under her belt and a fourth to come later in the year.
While premiering her new track Honeymoon, which is the title track of the new album, Lana Del Rey teased her fans about what they can expect to hear from the new, upcoming record. Lana revealed that, while there has been some strong Miles Davis influences on the new album, there is also what she describes as some muddy trap energy, which sounds very interesting indeed.
Del Rey took to her official Instagram account to tell her fans and followers, "Here it is, the first and title track off my record - Honeymoon. In some ways I feel it's where the record begins and ends... there are so many other tracks on the record, 13 others to be exact- Some with a muddy trap energy and some inspired by late-night Miles Davis drives... But I love this song because it encapsulates all of the things that come naturally to me."
This is the fourth studio album to come from Lana Del Rey, following on from the 2015 album Ultraviolence and sees the singer once again teaming up with the producer Rick Knowles, who has worked with some of the biggest names in the business. It is expected that the new Lana Del Rey album will drop some time in September and we look forward to hearing it.
