The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has reportedly wrapped filming in New York City, and the film's promotion will kick off at the San Diego Comic-Con next week. An Entertainment Weekly magazine issue featuring the film was officially released, and it featured several new stills, including one with Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield as Gwen Stacy and Peter Parker, respectively.
Andrew Garfield also spoke about receiving the script for the sequel, claiming that he was so relieved he actually shed a few tears. He explained, "This time we have this very, very good script that makes a lot of sense. I almost cried. Because I was like, ‘This is what we’ve needed and this is what we were missing a little bit in the first one.’"
He added, "I just felt this warm rain of reassurance rushing through my soul. I was like, ‘Ok, we’re fine.’ If we mess up, it’s my fault now.”
The Entertainment Weekly issue featuring the Amazing Spider-Man 2 is on sale right now, and the film is officially scheduled to come out in theaters on May 2, 2014. In addition to starring Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, the film also stars Jamie Foxx, Paul Giamatti, Dane DeHaan, and Sally Field.
