Over the years, we have seen a whole host of different video games being adapted for the big screen and, while there has been the occasion successful one, the majority of them have failed to live up to the expectations that the video game itself set. However, the movie studios are not giving up on the video game movies and we have a number of projects due to hit the big screen in the coming years.
One of the most talked about adaptations in recent years would have to be the World of Warcraft movie, which has been talked about for many years but is finally being released under the title Warcraft. There has been a lot of talk about what to expect from the World of Warcraft film and we still have a lot of time to wait before the movie finally hits the big screen.
Warcraft will not be released until next year but there has already been a lot of talk about the project becoming a trilogy, with two more movies to follow. While there has not been any official confirmation about a World of Warcraft movie trilogy, director Duncan Jones did recently give an interview about the movie, where he made suggestions that Warcraft could have future instalments.
For now though, we still have a long wait for Warcraft, which will not hit the big screen until March 11, 2016 in both the US and the UK. Warcraft boasts a fairly impressive cast with Travis Fimmel, Toby Kebbell, Dominic Cooper, Paula Patton, and Ben Foster all appearing in the film, with Duncan Jones directing. We cannot wait.
Do you think Warcraft will become a trilogy?
